Taylor Swift has kept a relatively low profile over the past few weeks and we may now know why:
She was trying to keep Timothy Sweet off her trail.
The singer obtained a restraining order yesterday against Sweet, who has been harassing her since January 2011 while sending off a stream of emails, letter and social media messages that profess his misguided affection for her.
"If anyone in Taylor Swift's family gets killed, it is not my fault."
"My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverly Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life."
"Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage. Message to John Kerry, Secretary of State. Message from YOUR Presidential Candidate."
A judge has ordered Sweet to stay 100 yards away from Swift and three members of her family... and thank goodness for that, right?
This is good timing for Swift, who needed a break after the public learned Jake Gyllenhaal took her virginity and then dumped her via text.
