Meghan Trainor of "All About That Bass" fame is all about shaking off the haters, and as a result, paid tribute to Taylor Swift's latest hit with a unique twist.
During an appearance on the Dan and Maz radio show, Trainor gave "Shake It Off' an acoustic spin, aided by only a ukelele and her own killer vocals:
As if that weren't awesome (and surprisingly catchy) enough, Meghan Trainor briefly rapped near the end in a special shout-out to Taylor Swift herself:
"So Taylor, shake 'em off, don't let 'em get to ya / Go ahead and dance like there ain't nobody watchin' ya / Shake like a polaroid picture / You got the fans, we wanna dance witcha."
Okay, Meghan, you rule. We are big fans. But do you troll your own fan sites and post in the forums about all the festive things you love about fall?
We'd love to see her replicate Taylor Swift's effort in that department.
Trainor's having plenty of success of her own these days, with her booty-friendly single "All About That Bass" claiming the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list.
In the second spot? None other than Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off"!
Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" is third, while Iggy Azalea's "Black Widow," featuring Rita Ora is #4 and Minaj's "Bang Bang," with Jessie J and Ariana Grande is #5.
