Taylor Swift has taken a break from showing off the nipples of a fan to make an important announcement:
Her latest album is coming to Apple Music!
This is noteworthy because Swift initially refused to take part in the streaming service after objecting to how its 90-day free trial period would NOT compensate the artists or producers responsible for the songs.
After Swift made her issues public, Apple actually caved; the company confirmed this week it has changed its policy and will pay the singers after all.
And Swift has now responded to the 180 on Twitter.
"After the events of this week, I've decided to put 1989 on Apple Music...and happily so," the Grammy winner wrote Thursday, adding:
"This is simply the first time it's felt right in my gut to stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for your change of heart."
The pop star made a point to also mention:
"In case you're wondering if this is some exclusive deal like you've seen Apple do with other artists, it's not."
Incredibly, Apple's senior vice president of Internet services and software Eddy Cue acknowledged Swift this week in announcing his company's change of heart.
"When I woke up this morning and saw what Taylor had written, it really solidified that we needed to make a change," he wrote.
"And so that's why we decide we will now pay artists during the trial period."
Swift also received a shout-out from boyfriend Calvin Harris over the victory.
"I just played a gig inside a giant owl and my girl just changed the entire music industry what a day," he Tweeted.
